Lynda Prior
From Bench Strength to Balance Sheet
Business Leader now Mentoring through The Achievement Centre - Excel
Organizations looking for the wisdom of an experienced mentor have Lynda Prior available to them through The Achievement Centre – Excel. Lynda’s expertise is in helping business leaders put “Bench Strength on their Balance Sheet”.
During the 1980’s, Lynda was part of McNeil’s human resource management team that shepherded the organization through the turbulent Tylenol Recall. Johnson & Johnson, well known for their leadership, excellence, and ethics, was praised for its handling of the incident and its leadership role in revolutionizing the packaging industry.
Under her ownership between 1990 and 2003, The Prior Resource Group (a recruitment & consulting firm), landed on Profit magazine’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies for 2 years. Canadian Business ranked her #49 on their Top 100 Entrepreneurs List. It was Lynda’s management style that helped her build and develop the team to whom she credits these successes and the career advancement of the many people they served.
Lynda’s connection to The Achievement Centre started in 1997, when all her staff completed ACCISS – The Ultimate Business Development Program. Lynda later credited this training with her team’s ability to break through their revenue ceiling.
At the peak of its success, Lynda transitioned The Prior Resource Group to new owners and enjoyed a well deserved hiatus with her family.
Never being able to sit still for very long, Lynda launched MyCareerFit, an education & career counselling practice. In 2008, Lynda accepted the role of President at The Achievement Centre International facilitating operational and strategic restructuring. Her presence afforded founder Wayne Vanwyck, the opportunity for program development for businesses expected to change hands in the next 5 years.
Now, Lynda offers her energy, experience, enthusiasm and mentorship to start ups and established businesses looking to build their business by cultivating their most valuable assets – People and their Ideas.
